It’s been a busy and rewarding start to the year here at Garryowen Farms, and we wanted to share a little update from the paddock.

After wrapping up harvest and enjoying a bit of family time over summer, we’re now well and truly back into the rhythm of farm life. The cattle have been enjoying the warm weather, and recently we’ve been incredibly thankful for some beautiful rain that has refreshed our paddocks and brought a welcome burst of green feed.
Over the weekend we received more than 96mm of rain, and watching the pastures respond has been a wonderful sight. There’s nothing quite like seeing the country come alive again and we know our cattle are going to be very happy with the fresh pick.
As a 5th generation family farm, caring for the land and the animals is at the heart of everything we do. Our Hereford cattle continue to be raised the way we believe beef should be produced; grass-fed and finished, free to roam on pasture, and without added hormones, antibiotics or grain feeding.
One of the things we’re most grateful for is the community that has grown around our Garryowen Direct Beef program. Since launching our first online orders back in 2023, hundreds of families have trusted us to supply beef straight from our farm to their freezer.
Your support means a lot to our family. Every order supports a local farming business and helps keep paddock-to-plate food systems alive and well.
Recently we also reached an exciting milestone — over 200 customers have had Garryowen beef delivered to families who value knowing where their food comes from.
To say thank you, we’ve just launched our Garryowen Loyalty Program, rewarding customers who continue to support our farm across multiple beef runs. It’s a small way for us to give something back to the community that keeps our business going.
Looking ahead, we’re preparing for our next beef run while enjoying the sight of greener paddocks and contented cattle grazing across Garryowen Farms.
There’s something special about farming, every season brings new challenges, but also new reasons to be grateful.
From our family to yours, thank you for supporting Garryowen Farms.
We’re excited for what 2026 has in store!
